眼動減敏重組療法

眼動減敏重組療法(EMDR)是Francine Shapiro在37歲那年罹患癌症,於是她積極遍尋各種治療方法,在1987年的春天,有天她在公園散步時發覺到原本存在腦海中的困擾想法突然消失,心情不再感到混亂,才發展了EMDR(Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing),是近年新興的一種心理治療法,且越來越受到歡迎及肯定,

EMDR分為八個階段用來治療心理創傷,治療師利用眼動、有節奏的語調、或拍手等外在刺激,並且在同時引導案主體驗過去的經驗,加上使用其他行為元素包括:持續的揭露、減敏感、認知重建、複述、古典制約等,以增進療效。

EMDR 是一個治療技術在使患者反覆移動他們的眼睛,當集中「問題」時治療師揮動棍子或光在患者前面,患者也應該跟隨移動的棍子或光用他們的眼睛。

雖然愈來愈多人學習和使用EMDR,但學術界仍在激烈辯論其治療原理,更有人直指其理論並不符合科學原則,並質疑其支持者有誇大其詞之嫌。
